Answer
To obtain an IATA designator, or 3 numeric code the applicant will first incur a one-time assignment fee. For a full list of the one-time fees please refer to the pricing list on the IATA Customer Portal under the heading “Resources”, and the subheading “Documents”

Each year, IATA will invoice all valid code holders an annual fee to retain the codes. The annual fees are billed in the month of October previous to the year they are paying for (i.e. 2017 Annual fees are billed in October 2016). The invoices will only be available on the SIS invoicing platform. Airlines who are not yet registered for SIS are required to do so at the following link:
 http://www.iata.org/services/finance/Pages/financial-tou.aspx .

The annual fee will be comprised of an administration, and a renewal fee, these fees are subject to change annually. To see the current price for the annual fees please refer to the price list on the IATA Customer Portal under the heading “Resources”, and the subheading “Documents”
