Answer
The difference between code 954 (credits) and code 955 (debits) is simple.

Airline code 954 is used to credit Agents for the service fees they issue through the GDS in a given period.

As for airline code 955, it’s used exclusively by TASF to issue its cost invoices to its Agents for an invoice correction. 955 is only used to issue SPDRs (debits).

If a customer disputes a service fee, the credit card company will debit IATA, and then TASF Central Support Team will issue a debit to the agent through BSP code 955 to recover the funds.
