Answer | Intermodal locations can only be applied for if they are connected with an airline flight The location must be a ticketed segment on an airline flight itinerary to qualify for its own code. The application form for a new location identifier code can be obtained on the following IATA webpage http://www.iata.org/services/Pages/codes.aspx Once the application form is completed it should be returned to IATA by logging a query through the IATA customer portal at www.iata.org/cs and attaching the completed application form. This application must be completed and returned by the airline who has the intermodal operations to this location. Non-IATA airlines will be charged an assignment fee for each new location. The fee for the new application can be found at the following on the IATA Customer Portal under the heading “Resources”, and the subheading “Documents” |
